Everything you need to know about the opening artists for Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour
It's hard to believe that an artist as massive as Taylor Swift would have not one, not two, but *nine* artists opening for her on her upcoming Eras Tour. From March to August of this year, Taylor will be joined by Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, GAYLE, Gracie Abrams and Owenn, all across different dates. That's *a lot* of artists, to say the least. You might recognize a few—or maybe you're completely clueless (DW, we got you). Regardless, we have all the info you need to prepare yourself for the hottest concert of the year.
Paramore
Where does one even begin to describe a band as iconic as Paramore? The pop-punk band consists of drummer Zac Farro, guitarist Taylor York and lead vocalist Hayley Williams. You might recognize them from some of their recent hits like "Still Into You." Or maybe you're a longtime fan and know them from their early days with songs like "Misery Business" or "The Only Exception". It's no secret that Paramore has a ton of hits to choose from for their setlist, and we can't wait to see what they have in store.
beabadoobee
@radvxz and @shotbyphox
Beatrice Laus, better known as beabadoobee, is a multi-talented artist known for songs such as "Coffee" and "Tired". Fresh off of her own Beatopia tour, she will be joining Taylor for seven shows over the span of four weeks. Her collaboration with the artist powfu went viral on TikTok, resulting in their song "deathbed (coffee for your head)" garnering more than one billion streams (yes, we said one *billion*). She's a force to be reckoned with!
Phoebe Bridgers
Phoebe Bridgers is the pure definition of the word versatile. Her artistry is unmatched, with her stunning talent for guitar, brilliant songwriting and powerful yet emotion-fueled vocals. Her debut album "Stranger in the Alps" put her on the radar, with songs like "Motion Sickness" showcasing her unique sound and ability to connect with an audience of thousands while also being deeply personal. Her sophomore album "Punisher" further cemented her status as the next big thing in indie pop music, with songs like "Kyoto" and "I Know The End" resonating with her millions of listeners around the world. She has even collaborated with Taylor on one of the vault tracks for Red (Taylor's Version).
girl in red
girl in red is a singer-songwriter from Norway whose music has captivated Gen Z in astronomical ways. Her song "we fell in love in october" has over half a billion streams, which is no small feat as she was just around 19 years old at the time of the release. Her debut album, if i could make it go quiet, was released in 2021, featuring her latest hit "Serotonin" (a song Taylor herself praised across social media). Not only is she a singer and a songwriter, but she's also a music producer. Talk about a triple threat!
MUNA
@whereismuna and @baeth
MUNA is a band comprised of guitarist Josette Maskin, lead singer & songwriter Katie Galvin and producer & guitarist Naomi McPherson. The group first began collaborating in college and hasn't looked back since. They take on deep, heavy themes and explore many different subjects within their discography, all while being some of the best-dressed musicians out there (total style inspo). They've even collaborated with Phoebe Bridgers on the song "Silk Chiffon"—which just so happens to be their biggest hit yet. With a total of three albums, MUNA has proven they are here to stay.
HAIM
@haimtheband and @oliviamalone and @portermagazine
HAIM is made up of not one, not two, but three sisters. Alana, Este and Danielle Haim form this Grammy-nominated band, full of everything we could ever ask for. Their ability to blend different genres seamlessly makes them a band that really stands out. Each of the sisters is multi-talented on their own, but put together, they make an unstoppable team within the music industry. You may recognize HAIM from their collaboration with Taylor on evermore for the track "No Body, No Crime" (one of our faves from the album).
GAYLE
@gayle and @lukemrogers
At just 18 years old, GAYLE has already paved her own path in the music industry. Earlier this year, it seemed like no one could escape her hit song "abcdefu", a certified hit that has earned GAYLE her first Grammy nomination. It's clear GAYLE is making her name known, and we're so here for it.
Gracie Abrams
Gracie Abrams is the artist behind the songs "Feels Like" and "I miss you, I'm sorry". Her EP This Is What It Feels Like showcased her capabilities as an artist, with her innate songwriting skills and soft tone. Not only is she an exceptional vocalist, but she also plays multiple instruments, including guitar and piano. She recently opened for Olivia Rodrigo on her Sour tour, giving us no doubts that she'll be able to slay on stage when she opens for Taylor during 12 shows.
Owenn
@owennmusic and @oldirtycamera
Owenn is a fresh face in the music industry, but he holds a lot of experience in the world of dance. When he was just 19 years old, Owenn toured with megastar Rihanna and Miley Cyrus. In fact, he even joined Taylor Swift for her 1989 and Reputation tours, so hitting the road is nothing new for him. More than that, you can catch Owenn in the music video for "Lover" alongside Taylor. He has released three songs, including "Baby Girl" and clearly has a bright future ahead of him
